At least 80% of processed foods on supermarket shelves are made with GMO ingredients. Now, with the advent of CRISPR technology, genetic modification has become very easy. CRISPR tech makes gene editing so easy, that scientists and big corporations and in a race to create and patent new fruit, vegetable, and grain varieties, with no regard to public safety.
We are in danger of losing whatever fruits and vegetables have been left genetically intact.
Its getting really scary, there is nothing off limits to these food manufacturers.
G-d created every fruit, vegetable, grain and animal with its own characteristics and DNA , who are we to mix and match, to genetically slice and splice virtually destroying every living thing.
They are not only splicing in viral, bacterial, and insect genetic matter into our vegetables but to make matters worse, they are inserting animal genes into plants. We have no idea how this will impact the health of consumers and even the environment.
GMO fields contaminate nearby non-GMO fields. Once GMO seeds and plants are released into the environment, it becomes a huge struggle for organic farmers to protect their fields.
The newest GMO food to be approved by the USDA? Piggy Sooy, a soybean genetically engineered to contain pig protein. One or more undisclosed pig genes are spliced into soy to create a soybean with 26% animal protein.
The introduction of Piggy Sooy is significant — it's the first USDA-approved plant-grown animal protein. Moolec Science first introduced the world to Piggy Sooy test results in June of 2023
Due to this genetic engineering, the interior color of the soybean is also a rosy flesh color.
Moolec, the U.K. based company that manufactured Piggy Sooy, claims these transgenic hybrids will provide similar taste, texture and nutritional value as meat, without the high cost of cultured or lab-grown meat alternatives.
So as usual, these companies and scientists parade their financial motivated GMO frankenfoods as healthier and better for the planet. Or they claim they're protecting the animals. All the while destroying the health of not only our generation, but generations to come.
What's really behind the development of Alternative Meats
Alternative Meats are a new trend, masquerading under the guise of benefiting the environment and for animal "welfare", food manufacturers are pushing for new GMO alternative meats in a big way. What about our welfare?
Mark Kastel, executive director of food industry watchdog OrganicEye, and “The Defender” run by RFK junior recently discussed the unknown risks of alternative meat to human health and the environment.
In his opinion its all about financial control. these new foods will be patented.
He explained that there is no need to develop these products. “We don’t have shortages of pork. We don’t have shortages of soybeans. There are very few commodities that are in short supply,” Kastel said. “People who are starving in the world are mostly suffering from distribution problems and [low] income. … So, do we need Piggy Sooy? I don’t think so.”
Kastel doesnt consider foods made in labs as farming. It's what he calls FOOD TECH. In the case of Piggy Sooy, “They’re creating a transgenic life form — they’re taking the genes from a totally different species, in this case an animal, and inserting them into existing soy genetics. What could go wrong? We don’t know.” Yet, these products “will eventually be involved in agriculture, because those seeds that they’re genetically modifying will go in soil, will go in the environment,” Kastel said. “The impacts are unknown.” “We are playing with fire,” citing the risk of our food supply becoming contaminated “with something that we don’t know.”
“We’re going to suffer as a species, our health and well-being,” Kastel said. “We’re turning our children and the 300 million-plus residents of this country … into lab rats.”
Tsunami Effect when plants are Genetically modified with CRISPR
Researches have discovered that CRSIPR editing wreaks havoc in the plant genome causing several hundred unintended genetic changes that affects large parts of the genome like a tsunami.
As reported by GMWatch in June 2023, researchers have discovered7 that CRISPR-Cas gene editing ends up wreaking havoc in the plant genome:8
“Recent scientific findings have revealed chromothripsis-like effects after the application of CRISPR/Cas gene editing in the genome of tomatoes … Chromothripsis refers to a phenomenon in which often several hundred genetic changes occur simultaneously in a catastrophic event. Many sections of the genetic material can be swapped, recombined, or even lost if this occurs …”
Importantly, the same catastrophic cascades of gene swaps, recombination and loss also occurs in mammalian and human cells in response to gene editing. Actually, that’s been known for some time.
This is the first time they’ve found that CRISPRthripsis occurs in gene edited plants as well, and the unintended genetic alterations not only occur far more frequently than previously suspected, but they also occur across large parts of the genome.
As reported by GMWatch in June 2023:
“Recent scientific findings have revealed chromothripsis-like effects after the application of CRISPR/Cas gene editing in the genome of tomatoes … Chromothripsis refers to a phenomenon in which often several hundred genetic changes occur simultaneously in a catastrophic event. Many sections of the genetic material can be swapped, recombined, or even lost if this occurs …”
This is the first time they’ve found that CRISPR thripsis occurs in gene edited plants as well. Its been known for some time that unintended genetic changes occur to animal and human DNA following gene editing.
As explained by Test Biotech:9
“… when both strands of DNA are cut, as is typically the case with the CRISPR/Cas, the ends of the chromosomes can lose contact with each other. If the repair of the break in the chromosomes fails, the severed ends can be lost, restructured or incorporated elsewhere.
Chromothripsis otherwise seems to be relatively rare in plants. CRISPR/Cas applications can frequently result also in changes at genomic sites that are particularly well-protected by natural repair mechanisms. The risks cannot generally be estimated, so they must be investigated thoroughly in each and every case …
The recent findings shed new light on the alleged ‘precision’ of gene scissors: although the new technology can be used to target and cut precise locations in the genome, the consequences of ‘cutting’ the genome are to some extent unpredictable and uncontrollable.
Plants obtained from new genetic engineering (New GE) cannot, therefore, be regarded as safe per se, and need to be thoroughly investigated for risks. Without exact genomic analyses, chromothripsis can be easily overlooked. It is, for example, not unlikely that it also occurred in plants obtained from New GE that were already deregulated in the US.”
The FDA is doing absolutely nothing to safeguard our food supply
Tremendous Risks Involved in Gene Editing of Vegetables and legumes
There are serious risks involved in gene editing, due to all these genetic changes occurring in the plant from just one alteration.
Genetic engineering of plants can result in:
Alterations in the biochemical composition of the plant (or animal tissue)
Production of novel toxins
Production of novel allergens
Get ready for a world full of people severe allergies and higher risk of disease.
Unless of course, we return to eating non GMO foods, such as ancient grains, organic fruits and vegetables.
Support your local non-GMO organic farmers, and if possible grow your own food.
But it doesnt end there, we have to fight CRISPR gene editing, not just for ourselves, but for the health of future generations as well.
We are losing control of our food supply quickly and it will be irreversible.
It has become imperative to avoid all foods which contain GMO ingredients.
Top 10 GMO foods to avoid
- Corn
- Soy
- Canola
- Alfalfa
- Sugar Beets (a top source for refined sugar)
- Cotton (cottonseed oil)
- Papaya (almost all papaya is GMO)
- GMO Salmon
- Microbes and Enzymes (cooking and process agents that are hard to track because they’re often not even listed on food labels )
- Apples
